MOGS & Manipal OBG-Societies Co-host Webinar on “PPH Catastrophe: Zero PPH World” 9th May 2021
MOGS & Manipal OBG Societies partnered with Jagsonpal Pharma to present a Webinar on Sunday 9th May, 2021- which was attended by well over 350 participants. Dr.Rishma Dhillon Pai, Past President of FOGSI, and Dr.H.Nagaraj, Past-President KSOGA, graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Dr.Archana Verma, Vice President Elect FOGSI 2021, was Guest of Honour and Prof.(Dr) Muralidhar Pai, Chairman Medical Committee SAFOG, ICOG Governing Council Member, was the Expert.
Dr.Maria Fernando Escobar, Colombia was the International Keynote Speaker and spoke on ‘Averting Maternal Death due to PPH- Cali, Colombia Experience’ . Dr Archana Verma spoke on Bimanual Compression & Aortic Compression. Dr.Vidyadhar B. Bangal, Loni, delivered a talk on Non-pneumatic Anti-shock Garment (NASG) in PPH, followed by Dr Poonam Verma Shivkumar who spoke on Uterine Balloon Tamponade. Dr Amita Pandey from Lucknow gave a presentation on ‘Initial Resuscitation in a case of PPH’ followed by a talk on ‘Compression Sutures’ by Dr. Sheela V. Mane of Bengaluru. The sessions were chaired by Dr.Krishnanada Mallya, President of Manipal OBG Society, Dr.Prasanna Kumar Shetty, President, MOGS, Dr.Amritha Bhandary (Prof of OBG, AJIMS Mangalore), Dr.A. Girija,(Consultant OBGYN and Managing Partner, Sonia Clinic, Manipal), Dr.Shripad Hebbar (Prof. & HoD, OBG KMC Manipal) were chairpersons for the various sessions.
Dr. Rajalakshmi and Dr. Aparna Rajesh (Secretaries of the respective OBG societies) were the coordinators for the Webinar. One ICOG credit point was awarded for the Webinar.
